We are an independent label working with music we love. The work we do is based on passion and feelings and that's what we hope to communicate to you, the listeners, so that you feel it to. We invest in building our artists careers to last and not just become one hit wonders. Our A&R policy is that we only sign music we love, from any genre or style, that we believe we can work with and do a good job. Next to the label we are also building up Despotz as a publisher. In todays fast moving world of music we need to use the flexibility we have as an independent as one of our biggest strengths. Therefor we want to be able to offer both the master and the publishing rights as often as possible.

Hybris »

Hybris is a modern music label, releasing records, digital media and other more or less artefacts associated with pop culture. We are situated in Sweden; in the royal capital of Stockholm; and in the not so royal city of Malmö. We’re a record label anno 2010. Or actually, we are more than that. First of all: We call Hybris a music label not a record label (yes, a huge different – focus on music, not records). Second: We have really fair deals with our artists (which basically means 50/50-deals). The truth is that most of our artists actually makes a whole lot more from their music than we could ever do (hard to get paid for recorded music – easier to get paid for live music; they do shows – we sell recorded music). We think that is as fair as it gets today, they are the artists, not us, and we tend to transform that into a stimulus for getting even better at what we do.

The Good Guys »

The Good Guys is a Copenhagen based composer and producer collective who primarily works with sound and music production for advertising, film, TV as well as writing songs for recordings artists. The Good Guys are former members and songwriters of the band The Alpine who released two albums on Sony in Germany and Denmark. As songwriters they were signed to Sony/ATV publishing and have had several radio hits in both countries. Composer, musician and audio joiner from Halmstad. He has been on hold with music in various forms for many years (been involved in different musical projects, played in several bands, composed a lot of music in many genres, been producing and recording other artists etc. He's also been working with advertising jingles for radio, television and cinema and, as he is as a teacher, he uses music in his work with children. He loves challenges and to engage in various music projects and he is especially interrested in helping to refine recordings and remixes.

Swedish Composer Christian Andersson recently received a scholarship from the Swedish Musiciansí Union for his unique artistic work. During 2011, he became one of 15 finalists in the International Songwriting Competition with more than 15.000 entrants! Starting music at an early age, he learned to play several instruments like the piano, recorder, trumpet, and guitar. Christianís music was featured in more than 40 projects during 2010, and his genres include Funk, Jazz, Rock, World, and Orchestral. Christian Anderssons huge orchestral compositions are perfect for epic movie trailers or cues for TV, Film, Documentary, Commercial, and Video Game productions. Stockfinster is a sound engineer/producer from Malmö, Sweden. After a long period of playing in a stuffy rehearsal-room, he decided to pursue his love for electronical soundscapes and ever since he has written, played, arranged and mixed everything himself – albeit with the occasional help from his friends. He primarily make music using a PC and various software, but every now and then he merge his electronic side with his love for acoustic instruments.

Ludwig Böss was a member of the between 1993 and 2000 critically acclaimed Swedish alternative rock band Ray Wonder.They released 5 albums and toured around the world. Since 2000 Ludwig has released one solo album "An iron fist in a velvet glove" in 2006, produced and arranged 2 albums with the japanese pop icon Hideki Kaji, produced Sparklin June´s debut album for E.M.I. and produced 1 album for The Sunshine. He has also written songs for different artists like the Icelandic Pop Hero Sverrir Bergmann. Lately he as been playing guitar with the American band Band of Horses on their Us and European tour of 2009. He is currently back in Sweden writing songs for a new album and for some other projects.

Ahmatron is run by Martin Ahm, a danish composer/sound designer who specializes in custom music for broadcast, TV and media production. Ahmatron has worked with Discovery, FANTA, MTV, BonAqua, Nickelodeon, VIASAT, NASA and TV2, TV3(DK) + many more. As a musician he plays many instruments – primarily bass and guitar. All aspects concerning audio production are handled in-house. That is: composing, recording, mixing and mastering. The name Ahmatron comes from Martin's middle name - Ahm.

A new Swedish duo consisting of guitarist/ pianist / producer / solo artist Peder Af Ugglas and drummer / percussionist / bass player / guitar player Mats Persson. Peder has a long career behind him as producer / engineer, as well as sideman, for several of Swedens top artists. He has released two solo albums and a new one coming out in January 2010. Has also released three albums as lead singer with the now disbanded group the Passengers. The music they make together is always recorded live with whatever instrument there is on hand at that moment. It has a strong improvised character.

Jens Lodén »

Jens Lodén is a musician, bassplayer, producer and composer from the south of Sweden. His main musical fields are within clubmusic, trip-hop, funk and jazz, and noticeably fusions between these styles. He spent his childhood studying the piano, and later found that the electric bass was to be his main instrument. Through an internship in Tambourine Studios in the nineties he started producing, among other things his at the time main band Agurk Players. Today he is skilled in music production and technology. As a producer, musician, composer and remixer he has worked with musicians such as Mathias Landaeus, Per "Texas" Johansson, Stina Nordenstam, Sofi Hellborg, Behrang Miri, Sheharzad and Maximus. His own music has been released by for instance Sonar Kollektiv (DE), Fine Art Recordings (UK), Ajabu (Swe), EMI (Swe), and he has a solid experience from creating and producing music for a number of national Swedish radio and TV-programs.

Living in California, USA Nalle surrounds himself with a diverse music scene. Working as a guitar player and song writer he had songs in TV series as, Army Wifes (Lifetime), Lincoln Heights (ABC), RockBand 2 (video game, Harmonix) Last year Nalle wrote and recorded an album produced by Nile Rodgers (CHIC, David Bowie, Madonna) with the band Ghost Hounds. As a musician and writer he also worked with artists as Billie Myers (Kiss The Rain), Annabella L’win (Bow Wow Wow), Engelbert Humperdinck, Scott Ian (Anthrax) and many more. He’s currently dividing his time between touring with Pearl Aday, Ghost Hounds and recording at his writing/recording studio in Venice, California.

Koios consists of Greta Folkesson and Janne Robertson from Stockholm, Sweden. Both are professional musicians since 20 years. Greta has a long experience of choir arrangements and vocals both live and in studio. She has worked with major Swedish artists such as Eric Gadd, Eva Dahlgren, Lisa Nilsson, Titiyo to name a few. Alongside, she has composed her own music. Soulmusic is her heart, but she also has a penchant for ambient music and to create interesting soundscapes. Greta has released two records. (Mija & Greta), and (Buddaboys) She is known for her warm and soulful voice. Janne Robertson is a drummer who has participated in numerous tours and recordings through the years with some of Scandinavians bestselling artists. He also works as a music producer, and through the internet he delivers drum backgrounds for various artists in his studio "Koyo". He is a member of the Grammy-winning band "Oddjob" (www.oddjob.cd) who has released five CDs. Koios have written music together since 1998

Tommy Kaså »

Kaså is a composer, musician and a producer from Gothenburg. He´s got featured interest in composing according to the golden section and the Fibonacci numbers which he has shown several times in the Swedish television, most recently in the broadcast “Musikministeriet” SVT. "I also spend a lot time reading research reports about the music and the brain. It´s very fascinating what happened to our brains when we are listening or playing music", says Tommy. He is a former student and also a teacher at the music high school in Gothenburg. He has released a lot of albums in several music fields. Member of SKAP – The Swedish Society of Popular Music Composers. SKAP organizes professionally active music authors (composers, lyricists and arrangers) covering all musical genres, except classical music.

Pontus Rufelt, a composer residing in the south of Sweden, has contributed music to games like Marvel Super Hero Squad and Steam Pirates. Although he specializes in cinematic music and orchestral fusions with electronic elements, Pontus loves writing all kinds of music. However, he is especially intrigued by ”blockbuster” scores. His bombastic soundtracks have mostly accompanied games, but has recently become more active in the advertising industry as well!

Stacy Parrish is a Multi Platinum-Grammy Award recording Engineer/Producer/Musician. Stacy fronts a band called "simple." and has written, composed and contributed music for many films and even more albums. A very capable and gifted recording engineer Parrish was recently presented with a coveted TEC award from legend Phil Ramone. Stacy has worked in the studio with some interesting artists including Julie Taymor (on ACROSS THE UNIVERSE), Brandi Carlile (on THE STORY), as well as Alison Krauss and Robert Plant's duet debut RAISING SAND. Stacy works and collaborates with a wide array of other artists such as Elvis Costello, Randy Newman, T Bone Burnett, John Brion, Jakob Dylan and more.... Parrish recently moved his L.A. studio to the south of Sweden to be with his love where they hope to start a family.

Amir sharifi is a 27 year old selftaught musician from uppsala sweden, he started playing piano at the age of 16. Amir is highly influenced by Queen and Freddie Mercury and just like them, writes music in all kind of genres. He has worked with music for moving pictures since 1985. Themes for tv shows, drama presentations, industrials and jingles. Clients include SVT, SAS, Volvo, Tetra Pak, Absolut Vodka, Snickers and many more. Perhaps you recall the highly popular tv shows “24 Karat” and “Rena Rama Sanningen”? As an arranger/composer Lars has worked with artists as diverse as Dionne Warwick, Tomas Ledin, Cornelis Vreeswijk, Stig Rossen, Helen Sjöholm and Benny Anderson of ABBA and the epic musical “Kristina från Duvemåla”. The Polar Music Prize Awards theme was arranged by Lars. As a composer/musician Lars led the now quite legendary Jazz/Funk group White Orange, and more lately the international jazz orchestra Beijbom Kroner Big Band. Peter Tegnér was born in Malmö, Sweden 1964. His personal way of composing with influences from folk and minimalism has given him great recognition and appreciation in Sweden. Among composing for theater, danceperformances and documentaries Peter is the guitarplayer and composer of the trio Tales which was founded in 1997.Tales carachteristic Nordic sounding themes has been frequently used and played in Radio and Television. Hal was born and raised in the US but residing in Sweden since many years back... He has published over 100 songs and produced or participated on over 20 albums. Simon Luth »

Simon Luth is a young composer residing in Copenhagen, Denmark. Started out playing music at the age of 7 and has since then developed his skills both as a singer, guitarist, composer and producer. He was the frontman of the Danish rock act Sparklin June who were signed to EMI, and after the band disbanned he continued working on a lot of different music projects. Touring with the likes of Carpark North, Sony BMG act Caspar David and playing shows with the Swedish act Böss among others.
